Vortex Energy Harnessed to Create Powerful "E-Bomb" in High-Tech Sci-Fi Novel

FADE IN: A misanthropic author named Marty, his psychical married woman Leela, and Marty's best friend, Hacker, are having a serious meeting on the couple's presence deck at their place in Sedona. Hacker, true to his name, is a computing machine mastermind and a superb techie. A serious crisis is brewing which could impact the planetary economy.

"Lemme acquire this straight," states Hacker to Leela. "Marty ran it down to me, but I figured him or you must have got a bug in your software." Leela smiles thinly.

"So these cats out in Page Springs are going to convey down People'S Republic Of China by using an electromagnetic pulse," goes on Hacker, "which by the manner is usually caused by a atomic bomb explosion. Except there won't be a atomic explosion, right? They'll be using whirl powerfulness and pasture lines? Did I acquire that right?"

Leela takes a deep breath and holes him with her twin greenness rays. "That's right. And there's more. These people are not just some local crank organization. They are portion of a secret society, something like the Illuminati and the Freemasons. They are all over the world. They are well organized and tally by knave men of science and applied scientists and financed by bankers and billionaires. They are also extremely serious about this. Their thought is to salvage the last human race powerfulness -- the good old United States -- for capitalism."

"And just how make they mean to harness the amazing power of the world's vortexes, assuming that is even possible?"

"It is possible. For one thing, I accessed a batch of this information when I was in the trans-dimensional portal. The whirls are tremendously powerful generating stations, some more than powerful than others. When they are linked together via the pasture lines, they can bring forth adequate electrical power to bring forth a little but powerful electronic shockwave that volition paralyze anything electrical or mechanical.

"In a fraction of a second, all of People'S Republic Of China will be brought to its knee joints and set back at least 200 years. That's what these secret society cats told me on the phone."

Hacker nods his caput knowingly. "I've heard of this pulse, this EMP thing. It's called an E-bomb. The U.S. authorities have been all over this for years. The research is very secret. The Pentagon have been testing their ain E-bomb since 9/11. Now they're afraid Islamic Republic Of Iran is going to hit us with an E-bomb-but using a atomic weapon, not the energy vortexes!" He states this with more than than a intimation of sarcasm and irony.

Leela moves her chair closer to Hacker's until they are almost olfactory organ to nose. "Hacker, darling, this is not a joke. These people told me they have got already wired the major whirls between here and Asia by probing deep in the Earth with some sort of microwave device. They are already online with energy transmittals using the pasture lines as electrical cables."

Thus makes Leela acquire caught up in a secret plan at once unsafe to her life and baleful to the security of Planet Earth. Book 1 of this sci-fi trilogy is put against a background of international intrigue, political corruptness and domestic tensions. The narrative moves from the psychical hotbed of Sedona to the teeming streets of Republic Of India to the cryptic energies of Glastonbury to the top of a mystical mountain in Tibet.
